This trip invites you to discover the Seychelles’ rich natural beauty, from lush tropical forests and turquoise-water beaches to vibrant marine life. Designed for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts, the itinerary combines discovery, independence and outdoor activities, with opportunities to hike, cycle, sail and explore beneath the waves.

During your stay, explore several of the archipelago’s iconic islands, from Praslin and La Digue to Mahé, each with its own distinctive scenery and atmosphere. You’ll also take an excursion to Cousin, Curieuse and Saint-Pierre, protected natural havens where you can spot tropical birds and giant tortoises, and discover the underwater world.

From hikes through lush vegetation and bike rides to island-hopping and exploring coral reefs, this tour offers an active, authentic way to experience the Seychelles. A change-of-scene itinerary between land and sea, designed to give you time to explore the archipelago and enjoy its exceptional biodiversity.

Day 1: Geneva – Mahé – Praslin

Arrive in the Seychelles – on to Praslin

On arrival in Mahé, you’ll be welcomed by our local representative, who will accompany you to the domestic flight terminal. You’ll then board an Air Seychelles flight to Praslin, the archipelago’s second-largest island.

On arrival, you’ll be welcomed and transferred to Les Lauriers Eco Hotel & Restaurant*, a charming property just steps from the beautiful Côte d’Or beach. Thoughtfully renovated, this intimate hotel charms guests with its elegant décor, comfortable rooms and inviting swimming pool surrounded by tropical vegetation.

After checking in, you’ll have free time to relax, enjoy the hotel or take your first steps on Praslin’s paradise beaches.

Day 2: Praslin – Vallée de Mai

You’ll then collect your rental car and set off at your own pace to explore Praslin
and the unmissable Vallée de Mai.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this nature reserve is home to a remarkably well-preserved tropical forest, dominated by impressive palms with lush foliage. This verdant landscape is also home to the famous coco de mer, a true emblem of the Seychelles.

Several well-maintained trails wind through the reserve, allowing you to explore its varied landscapes at your own pace in a peaceful setting, accompanied by the sounds of the forest. Allow around three to four hours to stroll along the main trails and make the most of this exceptional natural site.

Day 3: COUSIN ISLAND - CURIEUSE - SAINT PIERRE

Today is dedicated to exploring three of the archipelago’s natural gems: Cousin, Curieuse and Saint-Pierre. From protected reserves and giant tortoises to tropical birds and colourful marine life, this excursion offers a wonderful glimpse of the Seychelles’ natural riches.

Transfer to the port, then board the boat for Cousin Island, a true sanctuary for numerous bird species and an important wildlife conservation area. Explore the island on a guided tour in English, amid its remarkably unspoilt natural surroundings.

You’ll then continue to Curieuse Island, where lunch will be served. Discover its wild landscapes and its famous park, home to giant tortoises, one of the Seychelles’ iconic species.

The excursion continues to the tiny islet of Saint-Pierre, surrounded by crystal-clear turquoise waters. Put on your mask and snorkel to explore the underwater world and enjoy a relaxing snorkelling session.

Return to Praslin in the afternoon, followed by a transfer to your hotel.

Day 4: Day at leisure - scuba diving

Enjoy this free day on Praslin relaxing on its beautiful beaches, exploring the island at your own pace or simply savouring the Seychellois way of life.

If you’re interested in exploring beneath the waves, you can also arrange a dive with Octopus Dive Center, located near the hotel. The waters surrounding the archipelago are home to exceptional biodiversity, with hundreds of tropical fish species among some particularly rich underwater scenery.

On your dive, look out for colourful fish and, with a little luck, sea turtles and rays, which are regularly spotted in Seychellois waters. It’s a wonderful way to discover another side of the archipelago’s natural beauty.

Day 5: La Digue by bike

Breakfast.

Transfer to the harbour and boat departure for La Digue at 10:00. After around 15 minutes at sea, arrive on the island and meet our local representative. Collect your rental bikes and explore this little corner of paradise, renowned for its peaceful atmosphere, laid-back pace of life and dreamy beaches.

Be sure to visit Anse Source d’Argent, a magnificent beach dotted with granite boulders, the secluded beach of Anse Bonnet Carré, or Anse Cocos. Explore the hills covered in coconut palms, latanier palms and takamaka trees, following the quiet roads used by bicycles and ox carts…

Also visit L’Union Estate, with its colonial house surrounded by lush vegetation and the enclosure where giant tortoises live peacefully. Return to the harbour at around 17:00 for the boat trip back to Praslin.

Day 6: Praslin

Day 7: Praslin – Mahé

Enjoy a final free morning on Praslin before your transfer to the harbour. Board the boat for the approximately one-hour crossing to Mahé. As the sea can be rough on this route, a return flight to Mahé can also be arranged on request. Please contact us for more information.

The largest island in the archipelago, Mahé is home to most of the Seychellois population as well as the capital, Victoria. Its varied landscapes include hills covered in lush tropical vegetation, fine sandy beaches and small bays framed by the imposing granite boulders so characteristic of the Seychelles.

On arrival, transfer to Augerine Small Hotel*, an intimate property with around 15 rooms, just steps from Beau Vallon.

With its long beach stretching for nearly three kilometres, Beau Vallon Bay is one of Mahé’s liveliest spots. Its waters are perfect for swimming and a wide range of watersports, including diving, sailing, windsurfing and deep-sea fishing trips. Along the bay, restaurants, local eateries and tropical fruit vendors invite you to enjoy the island’s laid-back atmosphere.

Day 8: MAHÉ’S WILD TRAILS

Pick up your rental car at the hotel and enjoy a day at leisure exploring the island.
Miles of marked trails through breathtaking vegetation lead you to unique landscapes and pretty little coves. The island is home to the Seychelles’ highest peak, Morne Seychellois, which rises 905 metres above the Indian Ocean. The many official hiking trails are described in detail in travel guides: Copolia, La Réserve, Les Trois Frères, Morne Blanc, Mare aux Cochons, Dans Gallas, Anse Major, Salazie, Casse Dent, Dan Bernard (Bel Ombre) and Vacoa.

Day 9: Mahé’s wild trails

Today, continue exploring Mahé at your own pace in your rental car. With beaches scattered all around the island, this free day gives you the chance to discover its different sides and stop wherever you like.

Northern Mahé is livelier, with beautiful beaches and plenty of watersports, while the island’s more unspoilt south offers a peaceful atmosphere, secluded coves and lush tropical vegetation.

Take the small coastal roads or head up into the mountains to enjoy stunning views of the ocean and turquoise lagoons. Along the way, stop to discover the island’s heritage and vegetation.

You can visit Domaine de Val des Prés, which showcases the Seychelles’ Creole heritage, or stroll through Jardin du Roi, a tropical garden renowned for its many spice plants and trees. Frangipani trees, fruit trees and tropical plants create a wonderfully exotic setting.

Day 10: Mahé

This new free day on Mahé gives you the chance to continue exploring the island as you please, taking in tropical landscapes, ocean views and Seychellois culture.

You can visit Victoria, one of the world’s smallest capitals, and wander along its streets lined with colourful buildings. Stop by Sir Selwyn Selwyn-Clarke Market, a lively, authentic place where the stalls are laden with tropical fruits, spices, fish and local produce. Just a few steps away stands the famous Clock Tower, a true symbol of the capital and one of the Seychelles’ most iconic landmarks.

Continue your stroll through Creole boutiques, craft galleries and museums, or enjoy a green retreat at the Victoria Botanical Garden, home to numerous tropical and endemic species.

Those interested in underwater scenery can visit Sainte-Anne Marine National Park, off the coast of Mahé. Its protected waters are home to a rich variety of marine life and offer ideal conditions for snorkelling and diving.
