LA PREMIÈRE,
THE MOST BEAUTIFUL DEFINITION OF travel
Reflecting French elegance and art de vivre, La Première embodies Air France's commitment to excellence. On the ground and on board, every detail is carefully considered to offer unique and personalized moments. These exceptional moments are accompanied by La Première staff, who provide signature service that is as discreet as it is attentive.
In March 2025, Air France unveils a completely redesigned travel experience, marking a major step in the airline's ongoing move upmarket. With a smooth and confidential airport journey, as well as a new exclusive suite on board, Air France aims to offer its customers the highest level of service in the world.

A NEW suite IN THE SKY
Upon boarding, each La Première guest is welcomed by the crew, who are entirely dedicated to their well-being, and then accompanied to their personal space measuring nearly 3.5 square meters. Only four suites are available in this cabin located at the front of the aircraft, enhancing the feeling of privacy, space, and exclusivity.
The new suite offers a fully modular and completely private concept, consisting of an armchair and a chaise longue that converts into a real bed. The armchair adapts to the moment of the flight: takeoff, landing, meals, or relaxation. Featuring a leather headrest embossed with the winged seahorse, Air France's historic symbol, and soft ergonomic foam, it adjusts to each passenger's body shape for perfect comfort. An adjoining console and table are available for working or dining. Opposite the seat, a chaise longue now allows passengers to rest in their preferred position. It's the ideal way to stretch out your legs while remaining seated to read or watch a movie. It simply unfolds into a full-size bed measuring 2 meters long and 75 centimeters wide. A cozy blanket and large cushions make this space a cozy cocoon.
The side suites have five portholes and are over 3 meters long. Each suite is fitted with a thick mesh curtain providing soundproofing and light insulation from floor to ceiling, ensuring a cozy atmosphere. The suites located in the center of the cabin are ideal for traveling as a couple. However, a full-height electric sliding partition is provided to ensure privacy for everyone.

THE QUINTESSENCE OF
elegance
AERIAL
Air France paid attention to every detail when designing this cabin. A tailor-made setting that showcases the art of French travel at first glance. Full-grain leather, soft wool—the finest materials have been carefully selected for these new suites, manufactured in France by STELIA Aerospace.
The cabin is bathed in a harmonious palette dominated by shades of gray, which adorn the leather finishes of the seats and fabrics created exclusively for La Première. This elegant backdrop is complemented by white tabletops. To add character and distinction, touches of red, the cabin's signature color, punctuate the space like a haute couture signature. The ensemble is enhanced by satin champagne metallic details, highlighting each finish.
In order to offer completely unobstructed headroom for an unprecedented feeling of space, overhead luggage compartments have been replaced by floor storage. A large sliding drawer can accommodate up to two carry-on suitcases. Under the chaise longue, a second drawer is provided for storing shoes. Near the seat, a niche with a backlit mirror can hold personal belongings. An individual coat rack is also available.
The light, omnipresent, plays an essential role in this exceptional configuration. Five portholes bathe the space in natural light, creating a soothing atmosphere. They are equipped with translucent or blackout electric blinds, depending on individual preferences. The lighting system, consisting of two lamps adorned with the Air France winged seahorse, is available in wall and floor versions, while ambient lighting subtly accompanies each phase of the flight. The dark carpet lends lightness and fluidity to the whole, creating a suspended effect.

Palace NIGHT
In an instant, the chaise longue unfolds into a fully horizontal bed measuring 2 meters in length. When the customer is ready to sleep, the crew members install a mattress topper, a soft pillow, and a duvet from French luxury bedding manufacturer Dumas Paris. With the curtains closed and the floor-to-ceiling partition raised, everyone can enjoy their own private space for absolute comfort at 35,000 feet.

Private screening IN THE AIR
On board, technology and comfort combine to offer an unparalleled travel experience. Each guest has two 32-inch 4K screens, allowing them to enjoy over 1,500 hours of entertainment from the comfort of their armchair, chaise longue, or bed. Each guest is provided with Denon noise-canceling headphones and the option to pair their own headphones or earphones to the screens via Bluetooth. 110V/220V power outlets, USB A and USB C ports, as well as induction charging pads and a smartphone or tablet holder are also available for guests to make the most of their personal devices.
Air France's carefully selected entertainment offering caters to all tastes and cultures. The airline promotes cinema in particular, offering nearly 350 films, including a wide selection of French films and award-winning works from the Cannes Film Festival, of which it is a long-standing partner. Numerous series, reports, documentaries, and podcasts are also available.
Free Wi-Fi is available during the flight. Soon, the airline will offer a new ultra-high-speed connectivity service across its entire fleet, providing a “home-like” experience to replace the service currently available*. During the flight, it will be even easier to stay in touch with loved ones, work, follow all the latest world news live, play online video games, and of course watch TV, movies, and streaming series.
The suite can be controlled intuitively from a wireless touchscreen tablet. With a simple touch of the finger, you can adjust the angle of your armchair, chaise longue, or bed, as well as the various lights and window blinds. It is also easy to navigate through all the features on the two available screens.

FRENCH CUISINE
with 3 stars
Air France's La Première promises gourmet moments worthy of the finest restaurants, enhanced by exceptional service. Caviar from Aquitaine by Sturia, champagnes from prestigious French houses, foie gras, etc. The finest dishes are available à la carte in La Première. Leading names in French gastronomy create signature dishes specially designed for this cabin, which are hand-plated by the crew before each meal. This catering service has been named the best in the world by Skytrax, the leading rating agency in the airline industry.
In 2025, departing from Paris, Emmanuel Renaut, Arnaud Lallement, and Anne-Sophie Pic will take turns creating menus for La Première guests. These chefs, each awarded three Michelin stars, showcase the best of French culinary expertise around the world. Each chef is committed to promoting local products from their region of France, using a responsible, gourmet and creative approach. In line with the airline's standards, they work with carefully selected seasonal produce, red meat and poultry, French dairy products and eggs, sustainably sourced fish and vegetarian dishes.
When it comes to desserts, Air France also partners with the most talented French pastry chefs. Guests can enjoy creations by Claire Heitzler, Gault & Millau's Pastry Chef of the Year 2013, and Angelo Musa, Meilleur Ouvrier de France and World Pastry Champion in 2003. Each chef works with respect for the ingredients, both in terms of seasonality and their French origin, to offer a true sensory journey.
Chocolates from Pierre Hermé Paris, a selection from Palais des Thés, and Illy coffees round out this delicious offering for every moment of your flight.
FRENCH flavors FROM AROUND THE WORLD
On all La Première flights, Air France offers gourmet menus designed with the same care and attention as those served on flights departing from Paris. Local produce, French cuisine, and refined compositions can be enjoyed during the flight. And to take excellence even further, the airline collaborates with leading French names on the international culinary scene.
In Singapore, three-star chef Julien Royer creates a tailor-made menu that is regularly updated for Air France La Première customers traveling to Paris. Reflecting the spirit of the city-state, the chef, who hails from Auvergne, offers cosmopolitan cuisine made with carefully selected ingredients.
On flights departing from the United States, Air France has partnered with Dominique Crenn—the first female chef in the country to receive three Michelin stars—who creates inventive and poetic cuisine. The chef offers vegetarian dishes and elaborate fish-based recipes to complement the entire menu available.
Finally, on departure from Japan, La Première guests can enjoy dishes created by Olivier Chaignon, also a three-Michelin-starred chef, combining his French expertise with seasonal Japanese produce. He has designed all of the hot dishes on the menu, creating a variety of vegetarian recipes as well as dishes featuring meat, poultry, or fish.
Air France intends to continue developing these exceptional partnerships in order to continue promoting the talents of French chefs around the world.
An exceptional WINE AND CHAMPAGNE LIST
In La Première cabins, Air France offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages throughout the flight. To create its wine and champagne list, the airline called on Xavier Thuizat, Head Sommelier at the Hôtel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel. The Burgundy-born sommelier has also put together a new selection of craft beers, spirits, and French digestifs.
Xavier Thuizat, named Best Sommelier in France in 2022, Best Craftsman in France in Sommellerie in 2023, and winner of the Michelin Guide's Grand Prix de la Sommellerie in 2024, selects the most prestigious French wines and champagnes for La Première cabins. Renowned for the quality and relevance of his choices, Air France's Head Sommelier offers exceptional labels tasted blind in all of France's wine-growing regions. Champagne, Bordeaux, Burgundy, Rhône Valley, Languedoc-Roussillon, Loire Valley and Alsace: the best French grape varieties are honored on board.
At his side, Matthias Giroud reinvents the art of mixology by creating three cocktails—with or without alcohol—to satisfy the most demanding palates using French ingredients. Nicknamed “the Alchemist” by his peers, Matthias Giroud is world-renowned in the world of mixology. He is the first French executive bar manager to be ranked among the World's 50 Best Bars.

HIGH STANDARD OF dining
Air France presents its La Première guests with culinary delights served on finely crafted tableware. To design it, the airline called on designer Jean-Marie Massaud, who created a sleek and refined tableware set that reveals all the elegance of French table setting.
The tableware is then crafted by the finest French manufacturers. Bernardaud produces all the Limoges porcelain items, such as plates and bowls. The cutlery is forged by Christofle. The metal containers are made by Degrenne. Many pieces are stamped or engraved with the company's winged seahorse logo.
Everything has been carefully thought out down to the smallest detail to offer the excellence of French service and the heritage of exceptional tableware. Meals are served on a cotton tablecloth embroidered with a Jour Venise pattern, and wines are enjoyed in bevelled stemmed glasses. Hot dishes are always presented under a cloche.
A refined TRAVEL SET
During the flight, Air France offers its guests an elegant box. It comes in the two signature colors of the La Première universe—pearl gray and red—and features the airline's winged seahorse embossed on the lid. Its meticulous finish makes this box a true leather goods accessory.
To create this gift set, the company has partnered with French brand Sisley to offer a delicate moment of beauty in flight. The box reveals a range of four products carefully selected by the pioneering house of phyto-cosmetology for their moisturizing properties.
This set won first prize at the 2024 TravelPlus Airlines Amenity Awards ceremony. A sleep mask, earplugs, a wooden comb, and a pen complete this travel kit.
"THE PYJAMAS" by Jacquemus
For the first time, Air France has teamed up with French designer Simon Porte Jacquemus to offer its La Première guests new pajamas for a comfortable and stylish journey.
Maison Jacquemus combines its signature codes with those of the La Première universe to create a timeless, comfortable outfit with clean lines. Made from soft navy blue cotton, it features the Air France winged seahorse on the front, accompanied by a discreet label bearing the words “Le Pyjama.” On the back, a grosgrain ribbon embroidered with the Jacquemus logo adds an authentic and unique finishing touch to this piece. The overall effect is one of simplicity and finesse, in keeping with the spirit of the collaboration between Maison Jacquemus and Air France.
The outfit is available in four sizes to suit everyone. The top of the pajamas features a V-neck and a fitted cut for her, while it offers a round neck and a regular fit for him. It comes in a cotton poplin pillowcase-shaped cover, available in red or blue, the iconic colors of the two partners.
This cover plays on an optical illusion, a creative touch signature to Jacquemus. Round-square buttons—the geometric signature of the House of Jacquemus—adorn this practical and minimalist pouch, which can be easily transported and kept after your trip as a souvenir of a night aboard dedicated to French comfort and elegance.
An exceptionnal journey FROM THE MOMENT YOU ARRIVE AT PARIS-CHARLES-DE-GAULLE
La Première guests enjoy special attention and personalized service throughout their journey. From or to the airport, a Hertz DriveU private chauffeur transfer service is available*. Upon arrival at Paris-Charles de Gaulle, they are greeted by a porter who immediately takes care of their luggage.
Customers are then accompanied in complete confidentiality to the lobby, the first step in an exceptional journey. Dedicated to completing departure formalities, this 570-square-meter space has fifteen seats and two private lounges for even greater privacy. A true haven of comfort, sheltered from the rest of the airport, this lobby is a distillation of French elegance and refinement. Aesthetic and functional, its interior design delineates different intimate spaces while preserving a feeling of spaciousness.
Decorated in bright shades of white and gray and enhanced with touches of red, it benefits from natural light. It is furnished with creations by leading French designers such as Pierre Paulin and Christophe Pillet. Topstitching, padding: every finish is meticulous, giving the space a haute couture feel.
Once the formalities have been completed, guests are escorted to the La Première lounge via a dedicated private route, including passing through security checks out of sight.
The lobby also welcomes customers upon arrival of their flight, offering them the opportunity to eat and shower. It is also in this area that La Première staff hand over their checked baggage.

A lounge dedicated TO LA PREMIÈRE GUESTS
La Première guests have access to a lounge exclusively reserved for them in Terminal 2E at Paris-Charles de Gaulle. Designed by architect Didier Lefort, this exclusive 1,000-square-meter space offers moments of calm and serenity.
A welcoming gesture at the start of the journey, Air France's signature scent is revealed at the entrance to the lounge. Named AF001, this interior fragrance was created by Francis Kurkdjian, renowned French perfumer and artistic director of Maison Francis Kurkdjian. Built around notes of jasmine and rose, its airy floral aura creates a true olfactory journey that captures a moment suspended in time. Its enveloping musk accord combined with mimosa from Provence also brings a sunny and natural vibe.
The La Première lounge promises an exceptional experience. With an art exhibition, library, bar, and relaxation areas, it offers a wide range of services. French cuisine is particularly honored here, thanks to a menu created by Alain Ducasse and his teams. At this prestigious table, discover the chef's famous ham and black truffle coquillettes, delicious seasonal vegetarian dishes, and rum or Armagnac baba, just like in Monte Carlo. These dishes are accompanied by a wine and champagne list created by Xavier Thuizat, Air France's Head Sommelier, as well as fine wines specially selected by Alain Ducasse's teams.
At the heart of the lounge, Air France also offers its customers a Sisley treatment area, a pioneering French phyto-cosmetology brand. Before a day or night flight, or during a layover, this “Sisley La Première area” brings all of Sisley's expertise to customers with a range of treatments tailored to the time they have available in the lounge.
At all Air France destinations, customers have access to the airline's lounges or those of its partners. Air France is also gradually rolling out dedicated La Première areas within its lounges, notably at New York-JFK, Los Angeles, Washington-Dulles, and San Francisco, offering a personalized welcome and range of services.

INTIMATE SUITES DEDICATED TO
well-being
For complete privacy before their flight or during a layover, La Première guests can opt to reserve a suite measuring nearly 45 square meters adjacent to the La Première lounge at Paris-Charles de Gaulle. Three suites are available, two of which can be connected upon request.
Upon arrival, a butler introduces guests to the various spaces and services available. Each suite includes a living and dining area, a bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom, and a pleasant outdoor patio. These suites are true havens of absolute comfort, allowing guests to enjoy meals from the menu created by Alain Ducasse and his teams in the lounge, or to easily access the Sisley spa.
Fresh flowers, exceptional bedding and linens, haute couture finishes—the spirit of luxury hotels has arrived at the Air France hub at Paris-Charles de Gaulle. Designed to harmonize with the lobby and La Première lounge, the suites embody the architectural concept of intimate bubbles, while developing their own personality through carefully considered décor. In terms of furniture, Air France has chosen iconic pieces of French design such as Charlotte Perriand's designer table, Pierre Paulin's Ribbon armchair and Philippe Starck's Privé sofa. Each suite is also decorated with a work of art by a French artist.

PRIVATE transfers
To reach the lounge from the lobby, or the aircraft when departure time approaches, La Première staff accompany their guests via private transfers. These transfers take place on the tarmac, aboard a Porsche Cayenne hybrid vehicle operating in electric mode, for optimal travel conditions to the lounge doors or the aircraft.

The winged seahorse SIGNATURE OF THE UNIVERSE THE FIRST
The winged seahorse is a symbol inherited from Air Orient, one of the five companies that founded Air France in 1933, whose network was then focused on the Far East. A variation on a protome, it is formed from the bust of Pegasus, the winged horse of Greek mythology, and the tail of the Annam dragon, symbol of the imperial family of Vietnam. The whole evokes a seahorse with wings. At the beginning of the century, when the debate between airplanes and seaplanes was raging, this marvelous animal, equally at home in the sky and on the waves, was the subject of consensus.
The winged seahorse thus represents the combination of power and speed, air and water. It elegantly embodies the values and ambitions of Air France and has become the airline's universal symbol. For decades, it has represented Air France on posters, aircraft fuselages, tableware, and even on the uniforms of the company's staff. Depending on its use, it is adorned with different colors. Its more or less pronounced features emphasize its grace throughout the ages.
Now a historic symbol of the company, its most recent stylized version, known as “au fil,” has become the signature of the La Première travel experience. It subtly reflects the delicacy and elegance of the design of airport and onboard spaces and accompanies La Première guests at every stage of their journey. It adorns La Première accessories, from iconic lamps and bedding sets to gift boxes, tableware, and comfort wear.
LA PREMIÈRE BY AIR FRANCE, OVER 90 YEARS of expertise
The La Première travel experience was born in the early days of commercial civil aviation. On board aircraft that were still relatively comfortable, an exclusive service was already taking shape. The adventure of these early journeys was a private one. The passengers of that era were privileged witnesses to a revolution that would profoundly transform aviation.
Since its inception in 1933, Air France has been a pioneer, a laboratory for bold technological innovations driven by visionaries. Inspired by ocean cruises and rail sleeper cars, Air France's in-flight service sought a specific refinement to set its routes apart. As planes flew farther and farther, in-flight services developed. On board the Dewoitine, the flagship of the pre-war fleet, the early wicker chairs gave way to the first seats anchored to the floor. The onboard experience was enhanced, with the latest innovations incorporated to welcome prestigious and demanding customers, offering a level of comfort that was already unique.
In the 1950s, the company acquired Lockheed aircraft, first the Constellation, then the Super Constellation, and finally the Super Starliner, one of the most beautiful propeller planes in the history of four-engine aircraft. This was the golden age of Air France's luxury services, and French prestige took off. In 1953, the legendary “Parisien Spécial” service to New York offered 34 reclining seats and seven private cabins with beds on board the Super Constellation. On board, passengers were already enjoying Limoges porcelain tableware from Bernardaud and Haviland, Saint-Louis and Baccarat crystal glasses, and Christofle silver cutlery. The menu featured truffle-topped foie gras, trout with tarragon, fillet of sole, and autumn leaf ice cream.
In 1970, the arrival of the Boeing 747 launched a revolution that would lead to the democratization of air travel. Air France welcomed more than 500 passengers aboard this giant of the skies, equipped with an upper deck. First class retained its exclusive and intimate character: a private lounge offered travelers a peaceful haven, and the seats reclined for added comfort. This cabin continued to offer excellent service.
In 1976, the launch of the Concorde marked a major turning point in the history of civil aviation. Its supersonic speed, exterior design, and elegant cabins made it an absolute symbol of modernity and elegance. More than just an airplane, the Concorde was a technological and architectural adventure. On board, the luxury service and narrow cabin were reminiscent of the golden age of prestige aviation, but in an ultra-modern version.
The 2000s ushered in a new era of comfort. The Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 reinvented sleep in spacious, increasingly comfortable lie-flat seats. Michelin-starred chefs took turns offering La Première customers exceptional meals. In 2014, Air France took a major step forward in its move upmarket. The airline equipped 19 Boeing 777-300ERs with “haute couture” suites, featuring perfectly flat beds and thick curtains to isolate passengers from the rest of the cabin.
In 2025, Air France unveils a completely redesigned La Première travel experience, both on the ground and in the air. On board, the new suite with five windows features a unique, fully modular concept, consisting of an armchair and a chaise longue that converts into a full-size bed. La Première is now the ultimate definition of travel.
